*Serving Westchester and Putnam Counties in person, all of NY virtually*

I am a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) who has been working with babies since 2008. After learning firsthand how isolating and confusing the world of breastfeeding can be, I made it my mission to help the families in my community reach their goals and feed their babies.  Breastfeeding is natural but that doesn't mean it is always easy or intuitive.  Let me be a part of your village!  There is no "one size fits all" approach or care plan in my practice, everything is individualized to YOUR specific goals and needs.

What can I help with?
Difficulty Latching
Gassiness/Reflux
Clicking
Colic
Poor Weight Gain
Food Intolerances
Oral Ties
Nipple Pain
Clogged Ducts/Mastitis
Pumping Issues
Back to Work Concerns
Bottle Feeding
Weaning
Introducing Solids
Instilling Confidence
and so much more!

I have additional specialized training in Tethered Oral Tissues (ties) and thrive helping families in the area navigate through that overwhelming process and help their babies achieve full oral function! I offer consults in the comfort of your own home as well as virtually and will hopefully be setting up monthly infant care and prenatal breastfeeding classes in Northern Westchester in 2024.

If Jacqui is not supporting a birth, teaching a yoga class, or guiding a hands on childbirth education class, you will find her hosting her bimonthly new parent’s feeding circle (Nurture Café) and monthly women’s gathering (Kula Luna) to help foster a beautiful sense of community.

Jacqui is a baby-wearing, cloth-diapering, magical mom, who she lives in New Paltz with her wife Katie, young son Zander, and a rescue dog named “Zeppelin” (yes, after Led Zeppelin!). Jacqui has a “whole lotta love” to give.

If you are finding yourself in this area of life, and feeling hopeless, overwhelmed, and not like yourself, you do not have to suffer alone. Shoshanna will work with you to discover meaning and insights from your experiences and provide you with the individualized and culturally sensitive care you deserve. Therapy is a vulnerable yet rewarding process and she will be honored to have the opportunity to walk this path beside you.

Before embarking on her counseling career, Shoshanna served as a doula for countless families, offering holistic support during the sacred process of childbirth and postpartum. Shoshanna earned her Bachelor's degree in Holistic Psychology from Lesley University, setting the stage for an integrative understanding of mental well-being which led her to pursue a Master's in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Shoshanna was then a fellow at the capstone program through the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Infant, Early Childhood, and Family Mental Health, where she engaged in a yearlong training in this area of expertise. She is also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Attachment Theory.

Shoshanna is currently accepting new clients and is offering telehealth at this time.
