DENA GOLD is a licensed acupuncturist, massage therapist, and birth worker with a deep respect for the wisdom of the body and the unique journey of each family she serves. Known by some as “The Breech Lady,” Dena specializes in helping breech babies turn using a gentle, integrative approach rooted in acupuncture, bodywork, and birth biomechanics.

Dena holds master’s degrees in acupuncture and Chinese herbology (MSAc, MSCH) and is licensed in both acupuncture and massage therapy (LAc, LMT). She is also a certified full-spectrum doula, certified lactation counselor, and a Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner. Her work is informed by long-term study with a master practitioner and years of hands-on clinical experience.

Her acupuncture practice supports a wide range of concerns, with a special focus on women’s and uterine health, fertility, prenatal and postpartum care, pain management, fatigue syndromes, psycho-emotional balance, and trans health. Dena works with multiple acupuncture styles and techniques, always tailoring treatment to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all protocol. Her herbal training emphasizes safety, thoughtful consideration of medications and health conditions, and the creation of customized formulas for unique presentations.

In her bodywork practice, Dena offers therapeutic and intuitive massage drawing from trigger point release, deep tissue, shiatsu, Thai yoga massage, craniosacral therapy (Dynamic Body Balancing), prenatal massage, and Tul'ix/Arvigo® abdominal massage. These modalities naturally weave together in her care, especially for pregnant clients seeking relief, balance, and optimal alignment.

Dena’s clinical background strongly informs her approach to birthwork. Her understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics shapes how she supports the physics of pregnancy, birth, and the perinatal period. She offers experience- and evidence-based education while honoring that every family is different—and that each family is the ultimate authority in their own choices.

Dena is especially passionate about helping breech babies turn. By combining acupuncture, targeted bodywork, Spinning Babies®-informed techniques, and her experience as a doula, she creates individualized breech care plans designed to support both baby and parent with compassion, clarity, and care. She remains a steady resource for families, offering support not just during sessions, but beyond them as well.

Dena believes in the importance of treating infants. The birth process is demanding on the body of the mother and child. The brilliance of nature that allows babies' head to mold and the reflexes they engage to help birth themselves are miraculous. Very often, for many reasons, the head can get stuck in different places. This can create pressure on nerves or even portions of the brain. By supporting the release of the sutures and connective tissue, and allowing the cerebrospinal fluid to flow, babies can find more ease in their transition out of the womb, and can develop more easily and fluidly.

My name is Tiffany, and I’m a mama of three, a birth and postpartum doula, and the heart behind Mother Well. But more than that, I’m a woman who’s walked the sacred—and sometimes messy—path of motherhood for 15 years now, and I’ve felt the ache of trying to do it without the village I longed for. This is exactly why I became a doula six years ago! To help bridge the gap between women and much needed support.

Utilizing my eclectic background, my approach to support is truly shaped based on my clients personal needs & desire for their experience - using a combination of herbalism, homeopathy, massage, somatic healing, and traditional birth & postpartum support. I also come with a great understanding of the female body, birth physiology, and pelvic dynamics. I am deeply passionate about birth and women's health. Mother Well is my mission to help mamas feel supported so deeply, that they flourish in motherhood.

When I'm not attending birth or chasing after my kiddos, I enjoy: gardening, dancing, listening to birth podcasts, reading a Colleen Hoover (guilty pleasure) book, or eating take out and Netflix n' chillin with my hubby!

Hi! My name is Kellie Kotalik and I’m a holistic birth and postpartum doula serving the Hudson Valley region of New York, as well as parts of Westchester NY and Western CT. My goal is to support women through their birth and postpartum journeys. I believe that all women regardless of your race, identity or beliefs deserve the most empowered, safe and beautiful birth story.

Having several friends go through very challenging birth and postpartum journeys, I witnessed a great need to offer support and encouragement for women during their transition into motherhood. I owe a lot of my growth and who I am as person to the fulfilling connections, friendships and sisterhood I have created with the incredible women in my life. I want to continue to share this connection and support of women, and there is no better way of doing this than honoring and serving women during the most sacred moment of their lives.

My goal is to provide momma’s with the tools, education and resources they need to achieve their ideal birth and postpartum experience. I will provide you with the emotional, spiritual and physical support to allow you to have a birth experience that you’re proud of. A woman’s body was built for birth and I want to encourage and allow women to entrust in the divine being that they already are and are creating.

Connection is power and I believe at the root of childbirth is connection. Through a grounded & empowered birth and postpartum experience with the right support, grows a beautiful relationship between momma and baby that is rooted in love and abundance.

Ty.TheDoula@gmail.com

I am Tayésha "Ty" Mely and I have a true passion for maternal health and holistic healing. As the eldest of 4 children I have acted as my mother’s doula and was present for the birth of my two youngest siblings when I was just 15 and 21 years old. These sacred experiences were the start of my birth work journey; Providing support during labor and postpartum is second nature for me. In addition to working in the medical field for over 5 years I have extensive experience working with infants and adolescents; both my personal and professional experiences will assure you that you are in the right hands. After learning about the dangers of birthing in a hospital from coerced labor inductions, high cesarean rates and medical malpractice it had inspired me to fully commit myself to becoming a doula so I can help women safely deliver their babies the way they desire in the comfort of their own home.

I completed my doula training through Ancient Song Doula Services in Brooklyn, New York and received my certification in Herbalism through The Herbal Academy. I have worked with over 25 families and have experience with home births, VBAC, natural births in a hospital setting, C-sections, and inductions. I am dedicated to supporting and educating families’ on their choices, resources and long term plans. In my practices I approach birth and postpartum holistically while offering both physical and emotional support to the mother and her family.

If you are located in Upstate New York in the Ulster County, Hudson Valley, or Dutchess County areas, please feel free to contact me for more information in regards to receiving doula care during this beautiful new chapter in your life.
