Anne Margolis, RNC, CNM, NP, MSN
Anne Margolis received her BSN in Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania, her degree in Nurse-Midwifery from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing, and her Masters in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University. Anne has extensive experience in women's health and maternity care, in both in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings, using an integrative approach--one that combines the best of conventional and more natural alternative healing modalities. Anne is passionately devoted to her homebirth practice, which provides comprehensive holistic care throughout pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum for low risk women choosing to give birth at home. Her practice reflects a more sensitive, personal, family-centered and humanistic approach to maternity care, and her confidence in a healthy woman's innate ability to give birth normally and naturally. Her team of midwives serves most of the tri-state region of New York, New Jersey, and Southern Connecticut.

Gabrielle earned a BFA with a double studio major in Ceramics and Fibers/Fabrics from Northern Illinois University in 1979, then entered into an MFA/Ceramics program at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, but returned to Westchester County just in time to give birth to Raphael in 1982. Prompted by a "call" to midwifery, she received her BSN at Lehman College in 1991, worked for several years as an L&D, postpartum/nursery nurse at St. Agnes Hospital, and finally received her Certificate in Midwifery from SUNY/Downstate in 1997. She has been employed by Mercy Ob/Gyn since 1998, primarily in the PCAP/Prenatal Clinic at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in the north Bronx. A La Leche League Leader since 1987, she currently heads the Professional Liaison Department for LLL of NY East. Most recently, she has been trained in the Creighton Method of FertilityCare and natural family-planning, which offers morally-acceptable alternatives to artificial reproductive technologies, as well as cooperative and reparative solutions for a wide range of reproductive disorders. In her "spare time", she is involved in Revolutionary War re-enacting as a Loyalist, as well as continually enlarging and improving the gardens around her little cottage.
